I am a big Chrome fan and have my own extensions, among which I’d like to recommend four that are tiny, interesting, and somehow fulfill your needs, making your browsing with Chrome easier and more fun.
How many tabs and windows do you usually open when you are browsing, 10, 15, 50, or over 100? And do you find it hard to get all of them sorted and fail to manage all the mess? If you are getting in trouble with too many tabs open in your Chrome, I get you a solution now! Tabs Outliner is aimed at providing a working solution for too many open tabs. Let’s see the ultimate overview of all your open and reading tabs in Chrome.
The resizable vertical side view offers an easy way to organize your windows and tabs by Drag and Drop. If it only offers you a better view of the open tabs and windows, I’m not gonna recommend it at all! This extension is far more powerful and user-friendly than I think at first. The key feature recommended by the author as well as me is the KILLER FEATURE which enables you to preserve any tab or window that is closed. I cannot agree more with what the author says:
Actually, we are keeping tabs open more often than not on the grounds that we want them continuously, but since we believe they should remain open to remind us about something incomplete, or about some thought related to them. However, given the very low predetermined observability for such tabs, this is very inefficient.
If you are the one with tens, even hundreds of open tabs, it definitely deserves your time to give it a try.
Chrono Download Manager–Easily and Efficiently Manage Downloads in Chrome
Chrono Download Manager is still in beta1) but has won over 120,000 users worldwide since it is an easy and efficient supplement (well, I am afraid it should be a REPLACEMENT instead of a supplement) of Google Download Manager. It is more user-friendly with a nice simple and clean control center and a popup list to view downloads instead of opening a new tab.
Picture in Picture Viewer -Dock your favorite things in a floating mobile view window!
Well, I do not recommend you guys to watch YouTube videos in a floating mobile-view window while you are at work LOL :). But it does offer a better view when watching all online videos. It enables you to do things at the same time! Please note you will have to go to chrome://flags/#enable-panels enable panels and fully restart Chrome before you can use this extension.
Fullscreen address bar–Chrome with Address Bar in Full Screen
I recently enjoyed posting in Chrome’s full-screen mode, but I find it really annoying that I do not know how to access the address bar in the current tab or add new tabs. Well, there are keyboard shortcuts, I just do not remember the combination and I do not think it is convenient to exit full screen and enable it again! The fullscreen address bar is a simple extension without even an option. It just enables you to browse in full screen with an address bar! You will have to restart your browser to fully take advantage of this extension. Just an F6 does all I want! Thumb up!
